The most convenient place for short term parking in Halifax is at our Pay and Display Lot on South Street called LeMarchant Place (#17 on the map). Rates are $2 per hour to a maximum of $20 per day. It is not possible to pay for partial hours. Daily or weekly general parking permits are no longer available. Dalhousie parking meters are located on and around campus. Meters are in operation from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Meter fees are not required after 4:30 p.m., or on weekends and statutory holidays. Meter violations will be subject to ticketing and the vehicle may be towed / immobilized at the owner’s expense.
