Local Information for Those Travelling to Fredericton

We recognize and respectfully acknowledge that the 2023 CAP Congress is taking place on the unsurrendered and unceded traditional lands of Wolastoqiyik. This territory is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship which the Wolastoqiyik, Mi’kmaq and Passamaquoddy peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1725. The treaties did not deal with the surrender of lands and resources but in fact recognized Wolastoqey, Mi’kmaq and Passamaquoddy title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.

The Local Organizing Committee has created several pages of information that may be of interest to any delegate attending the Convention in person.  Questions, comments or requests for additional information should be directed to our LOC Coordinator, Ben Newling. (bnewling@unb.ca)
