The CAP, both independently and in partnerships with other groups as appropriate, actively lobbies for ongoing and increased funding for physics research and education and applications.
Through the CAP-NSERC Liaison Committee, we facilitate ongoing dialogue between the Canadian physics research community and NSERC on matters of broad interest to the community and NSERC.
As part of our active government relations program, the CAP promotes the need for sustained funding for science research, education, and innovation.
Members of the physics profession are encouraged to support these efforts in any interactions they have with government and funding officials and through recognizing the sources of funding when communicating about their research.
