Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference (CUPC)

We regret to share that the 2025 Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference (CUPC) will not be taking place because we did not receive a bid to host. While we understand this may be disappointing, we encourage you to stay engaged and excited for CUPC 2026.

This fall, join us for a virtual graduate fair showcasing physics graduate programs from across Canada. This event will offer undergraduate students a valuable opportunity to explore graduate school options, connect with faculty, and gain insights into research opportunities, funding, and life as a graduate student in physics. The plan is to hold the virtual grad fair in late October or early November. Stay tuned for more details!

Interested in hosting CUPC 2026?  Let us know by submitting an expression of interest. For more information, please email programs@cap.ca. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

The Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference (CUPC) is an annual event organized by and for Canadian physics students. It is hosted by a different university each year, usually held over an extended weekend in October (4 days). Physics students from across Canada meet at CUPC to present oral or poster contributions on various topics related to physics, to attend specially invited lectures, tour local research facilities, meet with representatives from participating institutions that offer graduate degrees in physics, and meet with a representative of the CAP Executive to learn more about the association and its support of physics in Canada.

The CAP, via its CAP Foundation, subject to available funding, provides a cash donation to be distributed, as required, to students who need financial assistance to attend the conference.
