The CAP is pleased to host a Science Policy Workshop from 12h15-13h15 EDT on Monday, June 6th.
Please attend our lunchtime workshop 12:15-13:15 (Eastern) Monday June the 6th at the CAP Congress. This will be a discussion without formal talks. We are interested in what CAP stakeholders believe we should focus on. We are interested in disruptive ideas. Is there a radically different model we could adopt for the NSERC Discovery Grant Program? Why is it so hard to make things happen in the Federal Government? How can we ensure adequate funding for critical infrastructure? Who should be responsible for maintaining core facilities? Could we fix the CCV? How can we get research to be more highly valued by government and society? Please come, bring your own ideas, and contribute to the discussion. It will be fun.
