The annual CCUW(iP is a national conference for undergraduate students studying physics or related majors. The CCUW*iP’s goal is to encourage undergraduate students from under-represented groups to pursue their physics education by providing them with the opportunity to experience a professional conference, gather information about graduate school and professions in physics, and to network with other undergraduate physicists as well as a diverse and inclusive group of physicists of all ages with whom they can share experiences, advice, and ideas.
Through a collaboration between the CAP and the APS, the CCUW*iP (Canadian) conference and the CU*iP (American) conferences are normally held at the same time and share a keynote speaker selected by an organizing committee comprised of representatives from each of the conference sites. CCUW*iP 2026 will be taking place this January 30 to February 1 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Full details are available on the CCUW*iP website.
We are looking for hosts for the 2027 CCUW*iP .
The CAP encourages Canadian undergraduate students (particularly those who might be interested in hosting the 2027 CCUW*iP) to consider attending the 2026 CCUW*iP!
If the APS holds a 2026 online CU*iP, Canadian students will have the opportunity to participate in it as well (there is an attendance fee). The online APS CU*iP is an excellent virtual experience, with a separate program and networking opportunities (unfortunately attendance by Canadian students at the in-person CU*iP is not possible due to NSF grant restrictions). Check the APS CU*iP website for details of all of their CU*iP-related activities.
| We are accepting expressions of interest to host the 2027 conference (in person, virtual, or hybrid). We encourage any student group interested in hosting a future CCUW*iP to participate in the 2026 CCUW*iP (see above).
Expressions of interest in hosting the 2027 CCUW*iP should be submitted by January 15, 2026. Full applications for the 2027 CCUW*iP are due by 5 pm EDT on Friday, February 15, 2026. |
