The deadline for the submission of nominations for Vice-President Elect and the two Director positions is noon ET on Monday, March 9 to allow for consideration at the Board of Directors meeting taking place at 5 pm ET on the 9th.
Nominations for all other positions are requested by 5 pm ET on Thursday March 19th.
Nominations will be accepted after the deadline for any position remaining unfilled.
Are you interested in having a more active voice in the affairs of the CAP? We are looking for members at all stages of their careers to help provide direction and oversight of the CAP as we roll out our new strategic plan and member service initiatives!
The CAP invites you to volunteer or to nominate someone to fill one of the positions available on the CAP Board of Directors or Advisory Council. We also ask that you contact us if you are interested in serving on one of our many Board or Operating Committees.

- Vice-President Elect (4-year progression through Presidential line: 2026-2030)
- Director of International Affairs (3-year term, June 2026-2029)
- Director of Professional Affairs (3-year term, June 2026-2029)
CAP Advisory Council Positions to be filled (click to download the nomination form for each position):
- Undergraduate Student Councillor (1-year term, June 2026-2027)
- Councilor representing High-school/Cégep/College Teachers (3-year term, June 2026-2029)
- Councilor representing physicists working outside academia (3-year term, June 2026-2029)
Nominations may be filled out in hard copy and scanned, or digitally, and be sent to programs@cap.ca along with a short biography.
