Michel Gingras, Canada Research Chair in Condensed Matter Physics and Statistical Mechanics at the University of Waterloo, is one of seven outstanding scholars who have just been awarded a Killam Research Fellowship. Dr. Gingras will work on “Emerging Classical and Quantum Electrodynamics Effects in Magnetic Pyrochlore Oxides”. He was awarded the CAP Herzberg Medal in 2001 and the Brockhouse Medal in 2009.
