The Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) is pleased to announce that the 2019 CAP Award for Excellence in Teaching High School/CEGEP Physics (British Columbia and Yukon) is awarded to Louay El Halabi, Semiahmoo Secondary School, for his innovative demonstrations and experiments within his school, for his student mentoring, and for his outreach efforts across the province.

The Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) is pleased to announce that the 2019 CAP Award for Excellence in Teaching High School/CEGEP Physics (Quebec and Nunavut) is awarded to Andrea Venditti, Rosemere High School, for her innovative efforts in bringing physics to the very young, her ability to build bridges between students young and old, and her outstanding efforts in getting students to perform in physics competitions and activities outside of class.

Ontario

The Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) is pleased to announce that the 2019 CAP Award for Excellence in Teaching High School/CEGEP Physics (Ontario) is awarded to Sarah Torrie, Victoria Park CI, for her outstanding efforts in raising the bar for student participation in physics contests, her track record for student participation in physics activities outside of the classroom, and her demonstrable results in increasing participation of female students in physics.
