A one-day meeting with a focus on soft matter physics on Sunday June 10 2018 will precede the CAP congress, which will be held in Halifax NS starting the next day (June 11- 15).
Soft Matter Canada 2018 will consist of a full day of events including talks and networking time, with a focus on supporting the network of Canadian physicists working in soft matter, which includes people working with polymers, colloids, liquid-crystals, active matter, bio-inspired systems, and related fields. Please join us!
We invite contributed abstracts from all attendees; there will be a special session for student posters. Selected student abstracts will also be invited to present talks. Abstracts are to be submitted using the CAP abstract submission system at https://indico.cern.ch/e/CAP2018/ — please ensure you choose the Soft Matter Canada track when you submit your abstract.
Registration
Registration for SMC2018 will be through the CAP registration system, which opens the week of April 1, 2018.
For anyone attending the CAP Congress, the registration fees for SMC2018 are included in your CAP congress registration, but you need to specifically select the SMC2018 session as part of your registration. This will add you to the delegate list for the conference and add a $15 fee to your registration to cover the cost of lunch.
If you are not attending the CAP congress, you may still register for SMC2018. After you sign in to the registration system as a CAP member or non-member, you select the Soft Matter Canada only registration option. The registration fee, which includes lunch, is $35 for students and $115 for everyone else.
