After the BBQ, take a short walk to attend the Herzberg Memorial Public Lecture.

Postdoctoral Fellows and Early Career Researchers Networking Session

This networking session is for postdoctoral fellows and early career researchers attending the CAP Congress. Whether you’re looking for advice or simply interested in expanding your professional network, this session is a place to engage with peers facing similar challenges and opportunities at this early career stage, and to learn more about CAP programs and support. For example, CAP is considering lengthening the number of years of lower membership fees for Full-Member Early Career from 4 years to 6. The session aims to help connect the early-career physics community within Canada.

Student and Industry Physicists Meet and Greet

Come to meet and network with physicists in private sector careers in an informal setting, after the industry speakers and panel sessions of the Private Sector Symposium. Enjoy snacks and refreshments while connecting one-on-one with industry physicists, asking specific questions of personal interest to your future physics careers, and learn more about what life/jobs/benefits are available for graduating and seasoned physicists in the private and public sectors. Further, come and ask us about the benefits of becoming a Professional Physicist, with the PPhys designation.
