Call for papers: Canadian Journal of Physics special issue commemorating Ursula Franklin
In celebration of the life and work of Ursula Franklin (1921-2016), three CAP members plan to publish a commemorative Festschrift in Canadian Journal of Physics CJP). Ursula Franklin was the first female University Professor at University of Toronto, well known for her activism as a pacifist and feminist. Her work in archaeometry (use of modern physics in archaeology) produced over hundreds of papers. They are inviting contributions from the scientific community with focus on women physicists, scientists who knew her work, or are close to her ideals. The papers should have scientific content based on your research, and will be peer reviewed as a regular scientific paper according to the journal policies of CJP (http://www.nrcresearchpress.com/loi/cjp). Articles based on Ursula Franklin’s scientific/activist contributions are also welcome. The articles should be submitted as a regular article through the CJP website, and quoted as submission to Ursula Franklin commemorative Festschrift volume. The deadline for submission is March 17th 2017.
