{"id":29408,"date":"2026-06-03T18:55:23","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T22:55:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cap.ca\/congres-de-lacp\/congres-2026\/2026-instructions-for-oral-and-poster-presenters\/"},"modified":"2026-06-03T18:55:23","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T22:55:23","slug":"2026-instructions-for-oral-and-poster-presenters","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cap.ca\/fr\/congres-de-lacp\/congres-2026\/2026-instructions-for-oral-and-poster-presenters\/","title":{"rendered":"2026 Instructions for Oral and Poster Presenters"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/cap.ca\/fr\/congres-de-lacp\/congres-2026\/2026-best-student-presentation-competition\/\">For more information regarding the Best Student Presentation Competition, please visit the 2026 BSPC webpage.\u00a0<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<b>Instructions for Oral Presenters at 2026 CAP Congress<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Duration of Talk<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"content-list\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contributed and Competition talks: 12 minutes and allow a three-minute period for questions (12 plus 3 minutes = 15 minutes).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Invited talk: 25 minutes and allow a five-minute period for questions (20 plus 5 minutes = 25 minutes).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To ensure that the session runs smoothly, efficiently and finishes on time,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a timer will enforce the time allocation, with a pre-warning 2\u2019 before the end of time, and a second warning at the mandatory finishing time.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Conference Room AV Equipment<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each presentation room is equipped with a projector, sound system, and computer console, with a USB port, HDMI cable, VGA cable, microphone, and handheld microphone.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Presenters must bring your oral presentation in PPT or PDF format on a USB drive to the volunteer assisting in the presentation room prior to the start of the session. A volunteer will be present 20 minutes before the start of each session to assist with uploading the presentation from the USB onto the room rack computer<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your presentation includes a video, it is strongly recommend that you bring the video as a separate file (ensure compatibility with the software noted above) along with your presentation file.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<b>Instructions for Poster Presenters at 2026 CAP Congress<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The CAP poster session will be held on Tuesday, June 23, from 18h00 to 19h30<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The poster session will be held in the Learning Crossroads (CRX) Lobby. Please consult the Indico program for details.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"content-list\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Posters may be set up starting at 10h00 on Tuesday, June 23rd.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Posters should have a maximum size of 114 cm x 114 cm.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poster boards will be numbered and presenters can find their poster number and location on the Indico online program. Appropriate materials will be provided to attach your poster to the board. You may NOT use staples.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Presenters are asked to be at their poster during the entire poster session (Tuesday, 18h00-19h30) to answer questions by conference participants (including, but not limited to, the judges for the Best Student Poster Competition).\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Posters need to be removed by <strong>Tuesday, June 23, 20h00<\/strong>, following the Poster Session.
